Nené and Stephan are RITMO DEL MUNDO. They have been playing together since 2006 a.o. as rhythm-section for artists like Hamid Baroudi, Marquess, Christoph Busse, Hannover BigBand, …
Besides that they work as clinicians for Sonor Drums & Percussion. Their performances show the interplay between drums & percussion in various styles, from traiditional latin-styles through pop, jazz and rock – music to house, drum’n’bass.

They perform at drumfestivals, in music-schools, at trade-fairs like Musikmesse Frankfurt, music stores, universities or even teach at music-corps of the german army or the police.

Nené Vásquez from Venezuela, who played a.o. with Shakira, Celia Cruz, Cheo Feliciano, Edy Martinez, Roachford, Aterciopelados or Mousse T. demonstrates the authentic playing-techniques on different percussion instruments, explains practicing and soloing ideas.

Stephan Emig, drummer with triosence, Gregor Meyle or Christina Lux who also worked as a percussionist for Mark Medlock or Marquess, explains how the sound- and grooveideas of percussion instruments can be adapted to the drumset.
The main goal is to demonstrate the importance of percussion-instruments as a major source of inspiration for drummers of any style.

2008 they released the educational DVD „ritmo del mundo 1.0“.
