After a couple of great shows with Gregor Meyle, Christina Lux and triosence, the first Complete Music Camp in Hamburg took place at the beginning of October. Other topics in this post are an inspiring jam session, more concert stuff, inspiring CD releases and news about upcoming events.
I really enjoyed the concerts with Gregor Meyle in September. Together with Andreas Gundlach, Ingo Wolfgarten and Markus Segschneider we played at Soda Club Berlin for the Apèros Bordeaux event and right after that we played a double bill with Christina Lux and I had the honor to accompany both Artists at the Lakewood Guitar Festival in Giessen. Here are some impressions from the concerts (Many thanks to René Weiss for the great photos):
After a couple of lessons and examns at Osnabrück University finally the first Complete Music Camp Hamburg took place. I was really happy with these intense and creative days. We also launched our new website www.completemusiccamp.de and I love how it looks. Please check it out!
Here you can watch a video about the camp:

Right after that I was involved in the live recording of the „peace & chance“ – CD for the Sir Peter Ustinov Foundation. The show included some great coleagues like Peter Inagawa on bass, Andreas Gundlach M.D. and keys and many more. Here are some impressions from that project:
Inspired by music:
On the road to the rehearsal in Berlin I listened to two new records: Sting – Last Ship and Gregory Porter – Liquid Spirit. Great CDs to be listened to with headphones and the whole album at once to dive into their musical worlds.
Then followed concerts with Christoph Busse Quartett in Hamburg and Lothar Krist B3 in Hannover and my first meeting of the Landesausschuss Rock & Pop Niedersachen. This is a group of people that helps the government of lower saxony as a consultant for musical and cultural projects.
Inspired by musicians:
Before heading to the next concerts I had the honor to jam with a couple of great musicians Njamy Sitson, Stefan Hergenröder and Nené Vásquez. One of the most beautiful inspiring moments in a long time. I am currently reviewing the recordings of this session.
In the week after that I spent a couple of days writing music at a very nice and inspiring place, Cafe Castaneda at the Edersee. I enjoyed the solitude and focussing on nothing but creativity for a while.
This was my little workplace:
I am happy to be able to do what I do and meet so many great people doing what I love.
In the next post you will read about shows with triosence, Gregor Meyle, Edgar Knecht, a clinic for Sonor Drums and a TV show. Please stay tuned!
Have a great inspiring time everybody!
Cheers, Stephan
