happy new year – previews 2013

Happy new year to all of you. There is an exciting year coming up and I am happy to announce some nice things, like a couple of CD-releases, e.g. with triosence, Edgar Knecht and Christoph Busse or music camps in Kassel, Hamburg and Salzgitter.
I am looking forward to an extensive tour with triosence. „turning points“ will be released as CD and APP for iphone and ipad in march through Sony Music in Germany and in April through Yamaha Music in Japan.
The APP will include a lot of really cool features, like videos, sheet-music, background-information to the music, tourdates and more.
We will be on tour from February, please check the gig-section for updated tour-dates. Please also stay tuned for a lot of more news with triosence, new website, music-video-release and much more!

Upcoming shows with triosence are: St. Moritz, Switzerland on Jan. 25th and 26th and in Überlingen on Jan 27th.

As I am writing this article I am in the studio mixing the CD with Christoph Busse at Fattoria Musica in Osnabrück. I really enjoy listening to the music. It will be released through Laika Records. It features a pretty cool line-up: Christoph on piano, Omar Rodriguez Calvo from Tingvall Trio on bass and Nené Vásquez from Ritmo Del Mundo on percussion.

This year started with some cool events. With my students from Hannover and Osanbrück we visited the Sonor Factory in Germany. Everybody enjoyed a day full of drums, their manufacturing process and history.

On January 19th Wolf Simon on drums and me on percussions did a clinic at the University in Osnabrück. It was great to work with Wolf who played with a lot of great artists like T.M. Stevens, Klaus Lage, a.o. Please check out his work! It is very likely that this was not the last workshop we did together.

Other things coming up in 2013 are Complete Music Camps in Kassel and Hamburg, Jazz & Rock Workshop Salzgitter, drumclinics for Sonor Drums, recording sessions with Ingo Hassenstein, Kai Thomsen and Jochen Ross, gigs with Gregor Meyle, Ritmo Del Mundo, Edgar Knecht and a lot more… please stay tuned!
