In the summertime… and beyond

Dear reader,
thanks for coming back to my website. I have been working on different things, besides relaxing from the many live performances that took place lately. I have been playing with Christina Lux, triosence and Hamid Baroudi and done a couple of seminars for bands and drummers. PLANTING ROBOTS

The work with Dirk and Ingo is coming along great, we have written and recorded music with Arne Neurand and videos with Christopher Klemme, have shot photos with Carsten Herwig, but… unfortunately there is not much to show to the public yet, since we are in a stage of finding partners for our record release and use the material strictly for promotional purposes. We are working with a number of people to prepare for our final studio session and the successful release in 2016. Sorry, but please bare with us :-) I am really excited about it.

CHRISTINA LUX

I have been playing with Christina Lux and we will continue performing in September and October. Please check her tourdates to see us live. Some shows are with Andreas Hillesheim on keys, some are duo-concerts. Please check Christina’s webpage for tourdates. We will be playing mainly in the northern part of Germany, like Hamburg, Gifhorn and Eckernförde. Here is a link to a review from our show in Wolfhagen and here are a couple of pictures:

TRIOSENCE

triosence finally finished the „One Summer Night“ tour with a total of over 70 concerts in Germany, Austria and abroad. Here is a video from our trip to the US. I hope you like it. Thanks to Sven Kalvelage for filming and editing, and especially accompanying us during our travels.

We will be playing a couple of concerts in September and October e.g. in Altena, Osnabrück, St. Jakob (Austria), Dresden, Zittau and Erfurt. Please check our tourdates for details.

HAMID BAROUDI

It felt like travelling back in time when we performed two shows with the Hamid Baroudi band in Kassel. It was great to be playing again and I hope to be performing again soon. My dear friend Pape Seck on percussions just blew me away again. If you don’t know him. Click here to check him out. He has been working with Youssou N’Dour lately. STEFANIE HEINZMANN

I am also excited to sub for Ephraim Salzmann on percussions for a couple of shows with Stefanie Heinzmann including the ZDF live@bauhaus TV show. We will shoot on September 22nd and I will let you know about the release date here or on my facebook-page, which you could give a like, too, if you haven’t yet :-)

DRUMHEADS!!-MAGAZINE

For the german magazine Drumheads!! I wrote the second part of my workshop „small percussion for drumset“ and here is the video that goes along with the published material. I hope you like it and make some of that stuff your own.

WORKSHOPS

I was fortunate to be teaching different seminars like the Complete Music Camp Kassel (with Hamid Baroudi as honourary patron), Jazz & Rock Workshop Salzgitter and the OLB Musik Camp on the island of Borkum. Here are a couple of impressions from these workshops.

Upcoming is the Complete Music Camp in Hamburg, which will take place from October 29th to Nov. 1st in St. Pauli, Hamburg. Please check our website www.completemusiccamp.de for details. There are still a couple of places available.
